Taiwan Cetacean Society is the first non-profit, non-governmental organization dedicated to conservation of cetaceans in Asia-Pacific region. The government with the collaboration of TCS organized the Taiwan Cetacean Stranding Network (TCSN) in 1996 to facilitate the quick response to all cetacean strandings alerts along the entire Taiwan coast.
