Pacific WildLife Foundation Projects

Curriculum Project

The public school curriculum in British Columbia uses few examples from their home province although the biodiversity is full of wonderful examples. The objective of the curriculum project is to develop a suite of materials for K to 12 teachers that rely on local ecological topics to help teach the current curriculum. Former educators Rod MacVicar and Ruth Foster and current teacher Kate Keogh from PWLF will develop the materials including DVDs and teacher guides from our video bank. This exciting project that will emphasize the importance of the ecology of the Pacific Ocean as a source of teaching material is seeking funding support for underwater filming and production.
