The Pacific WildLife Foundation is a non-profit coastal and marine research and education society  that inspires an appreciation for objective scientific research and conservation of the ocean. We conduct original research, develop novel education programs, and inspire an appreciation for conservation of the ocean. 

Sperm Whale Distribution & Migration

Not much is known about the migration of the sperm whale. The largest males are found farthest north and females with calves reside in low latitude tropical and temperate waters but the seasonal movement of this species does not appear to be as synchronized as many other whales (Whitehead 2003). Females and calves are almost always found over deep productive waters.
