Steller Sea Lion Science

The sudden decline of sea lions in the Gulf of Alaska, but not elsewhere has been puzzling marine scientists for years. Dr. Andrew Trites of the fisheries Centre at the University of British Columbia is investigating the reasons for the declines in sea lions in conjunction with the Vancouver Aquarium Science Centre using trained sea lions for diet and diving physiology studies.
